Rain Rain Go Away

The block is under water, the dam is filling fast (you can see it rising).
Judging by my sophisticated rain gauge (Kobe food bowl) we have had close to 50mm in the past 2 days and it still bucketing down, the average for May is about 75mm.

Drainage around the hose is working well, considering all the roof runoff is just falling aound the house.

If I had the water tank in it would be full already, instead the sand base has washed away and will need a top up before we can install the tank.

The slab for the shed didn't eventuate due to the rain, this should not be a delay as the shed will not be ready for a couple of weeks.

Work on the house was minimal, carpenters ensuring all the walls and square and plumb.
The Hebal was meant to go on tomorrow, but this is unlikely to happen with the forecast of more rain. And the truck may have difficulties on the saturated ground.

We had a kangaroo on the block and I manged to get a photo before the guard dog barked.

A few contract issues were raised today, the building supervisor pointed out we had 2 locks to go on all outside doors, we upgraded the locks but the standard locks were not removed.
The other issue is an ongoing saga about running the Seductive Limba laminex horizontal or vertical in the kitchen. The cabinet maker was insistent that the have joins in the pattern on the large panels would not look any good and for the second time raised his concerns. We have changed to a mixture of Horizontal and Vertical patterns (should look OK)
